Let me warn and also remind you of the need to remain apolitical in the performance of your duties during the election period as defaulters will be severely dealt with in line with the extant laws.
You must conduct yourselves in a manner that befits a gentleman. You must be professional, patriotic and respect the rights of other citizens.
We will remain consistent in our collaborations with other security agencies to ensure security of lives and properties and peaceful coexistence of all in Kontagora and beyond.
The challenge before us is to ensure that appropriate and enabling environment is created so that the development of democratic process in the country is enhanced, he said.
He said that the army would sustain the high standard of commitment towards maintaining peace, progress and political stability in the nation.
